Welcome to #WSAPlays!

Follow us on Facebook, Instagram (@wiltonctsoccer) [AND our brand spanking new TikTok page] where we are posting all our fun and important updates!

Hey WSA!

OK, this one is for our players!

But first and foremost, hope everyone is safe and healthy.  It’s as important as ever to uphold those social distancing guidelines.  #StayAtHome so we can #BendTheCurve (thanks U.S. Soccer!).  If you want to support our local community in the fight, please check out Warrior Helpers new site!

We are sure you know, but turns out the greatest soccer players EVER were made by practicing hours on end, on their own. For inspiration, the awesome biopic about the life of Pele on Netflix makes for a perfect family movie night!

To help your players channel their inner Pele, we are launching our #WSAPlays hashtag and backyard soccer series… fun ideas and links to free videos to stay connected and on the ball while we are apart.  The first installment is at the bottom of this email and posted here on the WSA home page

More than ever we want to see all those smiling Wilton Soccer faces doing what they love (juggling, trick shots, goal celebration dances and more), so share videos and tag our pages (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) and add hashtags @wiltonctsoccer #WSAPlays #onetownoneteam.

Parents should get in on the fun too (videos of backyard bicycle kick and diving header fails are highly encouraged!).  You can also email videos to info@wiltonsoccer.info and we can share and tag for you.

If you are looking for an intensive program for serious players, check out mypersonalfootballcoach or Techne Futbol, both available in app stores.  Finally, for kids and parents looking to stay fit, Peloton is offering a free 90-day trial to their digital app which is packed with tons of workouts (no bike needed!).
Here is your first installment of #WSAPlays.  Have fun!
